Laihong obtained her master's degree from South China University of Technology, under the supervision of Prof. Ling and Prof. Guo. While studying at Shenzhen Bay Laboratory, she focused on the application of plasma biomarkers, particularly the tau biomarker, in the clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. Her research interest is investigating early abnormal signs of Alzheimer's disease using biofluid markers such as plasma, serum, and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) biomarkers in older adults. Her goal is to enhance understanding of the characteristics of Alzheimer's disease pathologies and contribute to early diagnosis and intervention.
