Dr. Tengfei Guo is interested in studying the early abnormal signs of AD using multi-model neuroimaging and biofluid markers (including plasma and CSF biomarkers) in cognitively unimpaired (CU) and cognitively impaired (CI) older adults as well as in AD mouse models. His lab investigates the relations of Aβ, tau, synapse loss, brain atrophy, cortical thinning, hypometabolism, and cognitive decline across different clinical and biological stages of AD. The ultimate goal is to understand the characteristics of AD pathologies, detect AD as early as possible, and provide novel insights into the early intervention of AD.
