Binhui Liu is a PhD student in the joint training program of Westlake University and Shenzhen Medical Academy of Research and Translation, supervised by Prof. Tengfei Guo. 

His academic interests center on the early mechanisms and progression of Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders, with a focus on multimodal neuroimaging, cognitive assessment, and molecular markers. He has been involved in research on microstructural degeneration in AD, naturally aging non-human primate models, and multimodal cohort construction integrating MRI, PET, and proteomic data. He also studied functional and cognitive outcomes in status epilepticus. 

His long-term academic goal is to conduct translational research that bridges clinical neuroscience, neuroimaging, and biomarker discovery, aiming to improve early detection and prognostic assessment of neurodegenerative and neurological disorders.
