Yifan’s research interests focus on understanding the neural processes underlying memory and developing novel interventions to enhance memory function in individuals with memory-related neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease. Her prior research utilized functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) and electroencephalography (EEG) to investigate the neural mechanisms of both retrospective and prospective memory across young and older adults.
