Dr. Jinnan Chen

Jinnan Chen developed an integrated experimental methodology combining in vivo multichannel electrophysiological recording with murine behavioral assays. His research focused on neural dynamics in the ventral hippocampus and medial prefrontal cortex of 3xTg-AD mice during spatial working memory tasks. To investigate circuit-level mechanisms, he employed optogenetic approaches to manipulate specific brain regions and examine their functional contributions to behavior and neural activity. In parallel, he independently established MATLAB- and Python-based analysis pipelines for phase-locking strength, phase-amplitude coupling, and EPSP quantification, as well as data visualization. He also contributed to China’s "Brain Science and Brain-Like Research" Mega-Project (2030 Innovation Initiative).
