What Are We Looking For?


 Position Description:

- Carry out research work under the guidance of the research group leader, and welcome outstanding doctoral students to bring their own projects to join the research group for cooperation;

- Processes brain PET/MRI images and conducts scientific research on AD and other neurodegenerative diseases (2);Analysed plasma or cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers (Aβ42, Aβ40, P-TAU181, P-TAU217) and carried out scientific research on AD and other neurodegenerative diseases (1);

- Assist in the application of National Natural Science Foundation of China and provincial and municipal projects, or apply for postdoctoral scientific funds as the person in charge.

 Required Qualifications:

- Have or will have a doctorate in biomedical engineering or biomedical engineering or neuroscience or neuroimaging or biochemistry, 

    clinical neurology or related fields at home and abroad;The following research background is preferred: 1) Have a background in processing 

    psychology or cognitive science and have experience using neuroimaging or biomarkers to study the neuroscience of the brain; 

    2) Study of neurodegenerative diseases of the brain based on PET and MRI images; 3) Study on neurodegenerative diseases based on 

    CSF or plasma biomarkers; 4) Experience in processing the Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) database.

- Strong interest in scientific research, good English literature reading and writing ability;

- Have published or will publish research papers in mainstream journals of the major, and have the ability to carry out scientific research independently;

- Excellent academic ethics and professional ethics, good communication skills and team spirit, industrious, honest and self-motivated.

Research Assistant / Intern

 Position Description:

- Complete the work assigned by the laboratory and meet the standard requirements.

- Recruit the community elderly volunteers and complete neurocognitive scores (1 person). OR, assist clinical partners to take blood samples and complete plasma and white blood cell separation, sample storage, plasma protein quantitative analysis, etc.

- Outstanding performers can be referred to PhD students after 6 months or 1 year.

-With the guidance of the laboratory leader, you can have the chance to participate in research projects.

Job Responsibilities for Neuroimaging Branch Intern:

- Graphical user interface (GUI) analysis software for PET and MRI image processing: Responsible for developing and maintaining GUI analysis software for PET and MRI, functions include importing images, data pre-processing, brain region segmentation, characteristics measurement and analysis; optimising software performance to improve user experience and accuracy;

- Large cohort data management GUI software: responsible for development and maintenance the software, functions include data import, cleaning, coding, organization, analysis and result visualization; design and generate charts and graphs according to needs, including line charts, bar charts, pie charts, heat maps, maps, etc.; use various visualization tools, such as Tableau, D3.js, Highcharts, etc., to create interactive data visualisation interfaces to improve the effect and interactivity of data visualisation.

 Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or above in biomedical engineering or bioengineering or biochemistry or psychology or clinical medicine.

- Working experience, R/Matlab/Python programming experience, good English proficiency is preferred.

- Strong experimental operation/management ability, independent thinking and problem solving ability, good team spirit and communication skills.
